    Description

    Turkish Kilij Sword.
    31 1/2-inch curved blade, 1 1/2-inches wide at the ricasso. The blade has wide fullers on either side running to within 1 1/2-inches of the tip and is double-edged 8-inches from the tip. The hilt is cloth-wrapped horn with a slim guard, terminating in acorn shapes at each end. The scabbard is accented with thin metal decorated with floral designs. An impressive sword with considerable visual appeal. Overall length is approximately 40-inches.

    Condition: Very good. Blade appears to have been cleaned and sharpened at some point. The exhibits scabbard storage wear and the cross guard is loose on the hilt. Areas of surface rust present to metal parts including the blade. Hilt with discrepancies.
