    Description

Somewhat Diminutive US M1872 Cavalry Officer's Saber C. 1890. 34" overall with about mint 27" plain blade with unstopped fuller running open to near the tip. Etched panel at the bottom , which also displays some brown patina "The Pettibone / Mfg. Co. / Columbus, O". Regulation style hilt with rays on underside of guard, relief eagle and stars on top etc. Entire hilt perfect with deep dark untouched patina. The leather and wire wrapped grip mint. Regulation style scabbard with leaf decorated ring mounts also about perfect with deep, dark untouched patina overall. Just some very light scattered surface rust, really negligible, absolutely no dents. An unusual example of this US regulation officer's saber in perfect untouched condition.
