    Rare Confederate Civil War Cavalry Sword by L. Haiman. Having an unmarked curved blade with single wide fuller. Cast brass three-bar guard marked: 141 on right side of pommel and on back of front guard quillon. Wire-wrapped black leather ribbed grip. Contained in original steel scabbard with two ring mounts. Solder line on outside seam of scabbard, typical of this brand. Louis Haiman and his brother Elijah operated in Columbus, Georgia throughout the entire Civil War. They produced a variety of items for the Confederacy, including buttons, belts, camp equipment, revolvers, and all types of edged weapons. Sold together with appraisal and analysis letter from Larry Mealor, owner of the Sword Depot.
    Condition: Very good for this item. Blade is bright metal with scattered fine pitting and spotting. Hilt with age wear and dark patina. Grip rewrapped. Scabbard with wear, pitting, minor dents and patina.
