    Pair of Nathan Starr Contract Cavalry Sabers. Including: 1) 1812-1813 Contract Calvary Saber and scabbard. 34" curved blade marked "P / HHP / N. STARR" on the obverse ricasso; outside of knuckle bow marked with a small "P". Blade overall grey with scattered small dark spots. Scabbard displaying several dents but is complete with both mounting rings. About very good condition. 2) 1818 Contract Cavalry Saber and scabbard. 32 ½" curved blade marked "US / P / LS / N. STARR" on the obverse ricasso. A generally bright blade with a small casting flaw on the reverse side of the blade. Correct iron scabbard with a few trivial shallow dents and some light surface rust. Some loss of leather covering on grip, otherwise in very good condition.
