    Description

Lot of Two 19th Century Military Swords. Including: 1) Non-regulation U.S. sword with a Horstmann marked 34" straight blade. The blade is lightly etched on either side with floral decoration. Wire-wrapped leather grip and "P" style guard. Metal scabbard has a period brass repair. The blade remains bright with a few trivial nicks in the cutting edge. The grip is a bit scuffed. The scabbard is moderately dented and with the repair mentioned. Very good. 2) German Saber with a 31" curved blade marked "Knecht" and "Solingen". The blade has an overall smooth grey patina with scattered spotting. The sword is sold with a brass scabbard. A nice example in very good condition.
