    Lot of Three Model 1872 Cavalry Officers' Sabers. Comprising: 1.) Possibly an export version with a 31 ½-inch slightly curved blade. Plain hilt without the typical 1872 features. Brass hilt with remnants of leather cover and wire wrapping. No scabbard. 2.) 31 ½-inch blade, no maker marks. Standard Model 1972 brass hilt, leather covered grip and wire wrapping. Plated metal scabbard with brass mounts and throat. 3.) 28-inch plated blade, no visible maker's mark. Standard Model 1872 brass hilt. Metal scabbard with brass throat, mounts and drag.

    Condition: 1.) Fair. 2.) Very good. Blade with smooth gray patina; scabbard lacking the drag. 3.) Good. Moderate surface rust on the blade affecting the plating; leather absent from grip though the wire wrapping remains. Most of the plating lacking from scabbard.
