    Lot of Three Foot Artillery Short Swords.
    Comprising: 1.) French Model 1831 artillery sword with a 19-inch blade marked "TALABOT / PARIS" on the ricasso. Cast brass hilt. Side of cross guard stamped "C S", probably an inspector's proof mark. Leather scabbard with brass tip and throat. 2.) Ames manufactured U.S. Model 1832 Foot Artillery sword with a 19 ¼-inch 1844-dated blade and cast brass hilt. 3.) Ames manufactured U.S. Model 1832 Foot Artillery sword, 19 ¼-inch blade dated 1841, cast brass hilt.

    Condition: 1.) Very good. Blade exhibits some darkening from scabbard storage. Light wear to leather scabbard. 2.) Fair. Blade dark and pitted with some surface rust. Lacks scabbard. 3.) Very good.
