    Lot of Four U.S. 19th Century Cavalry Swords.
    Comprising: 1.) German Pettibone Bros. Cavalry Sabre. 27-inch decoratively floral and scroll etched blade, with manufactures name to ricasso and made in Germany to reverse side. Engraved brass handle with Coat of Arms crest to one side and eagle to the other. Metal scabbard with brass fittings. 2.) Horstmann Cavalry Saber. 31-inch blade with makers mark to ricasso. Heavy brass guard and handle. 3.) S.O. Barnum Cavalry Saber. 28 1/2-inch decoratively floral and U.S. themed etched blade, with makers mark to ricasso. Engraved brass handle with Coat of Arms crest to one side and eagle to the other. Metal scabbard with brass fittings. 4.) Cavalry Saber. 27-inch blade with illegible makers mark to ricasso. Heavy brass guard and handle. Leather scabbard with brass fittings.

    Condition: 1.) Very good. Overall showing normal age and storage wear. Noticeable pitting to scabbard. 2.) Good. Showing scattered signs of age and handling wear and surface rust. 3.) Good. Scattered areas of wear and fine pitting. Noticeable poor storage wear to scabbard. 4.) Good. Overall showing honest age and handling wear.
