    Description

Japanese Wakizashi in Ornately Carved Bone Mounts. 15-inch blade, 19 ¼-inches overall. Etched bone handle. Ornate bone saya carved with hand-colored depictions of warriors and other figures and further augmented with foliate designs. The handle and saya were obviously decorated by different artisans, as the quality of workmanship is remarkably different.

Condition: Good. Blade with a smooth gray patina and a few small blemishes.
