    Japanese Wakizashi in Civilian Mounts.
21-inch blade; 28 1/2-inches overall. Not signed. Two holes in the tang. Remnants of cloth wrapping and white ray skin on the handle. Bronze tsuba ornamented with a hunting scene and foliate designs, which were at one time highlighted in gilt. Fuchi decorated with gilt-highlighted cherry blossoms and leaves. Interesting bow and quiver motif menuki, likewise with gilt accents. Black lacquered wooden scabbard with bronze of brass fittings. Light blue hanging chord.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
