    Japanese Wakizashi Attributed to Chikuzen-Ju Minamoto Nobukuni Yoshisada.
    23-inch blade with a single hole in the tang. Iron tsuba. Cloth-wrapped sharkskin handle. Uniformly decorated and gilt-highlighted fuchi and kashira. Floral motif menukis. Black lacquered saya. An old tag attached to the sword reads "Chiku zen Ju / Minamoto Nobu / Juni Yoshi Sada 1661-1692" but this attribution is unverified at the time of this sale.

    Condition: Good. Several trivial to moderate nicks in the cutting edge; stains from handling.
