    Description

    Imperial German Noncommissioned Officers' Artillery Sword "Feld Art. Regt. V. Scharnhorst (1. Hannov.) N 10". 32" curved, wide blade with W. K. & C. maker mark. Reverse of the blade etched with floral scrolls and military motifs and the regiments battle honors "Peninsula Waterloo Göhrde."; the obverse etched with the regiment's name within scroll borders. Nickeled dove's head and P-guard hilt. Regiment marks stamped on the reverse guard "10.A.2.34" and likewise stamped on the throat of the scabbard. Black painted metal scabbard with single mounting ring. Scabbard scuffed with a few minor dents, otherwise a most handsome sword in very good condition.
