    Description

Fine Providence Tool Co. US M1860 Light Cavalry Saber. Blade very fine with touches of luster, else generally bright with just some very minor, really negligible, staining. Deep crisp markings including 1862 date. Absolutely no rust, pitting or nicks. Retains the original leather washer. Hilt about perfect with deep dark untouched patina. Leather grip very fine with just some minor surface flaking. Wire wrap missing two strands at top, else tight and sound. Scabbard excellent with dark untouched patina and absolutely no nicks or dents, just a few small areas of salt and peppering, negligible. Very fine M1860 cavalry saber by this rather scarce and desirable maker.
