    European Cup Hilt Sword.
Possibly French. Having a 36 1/2-inch straight double edge blade with a single groove. Blade marked XX UN DEI X UN REI. Wire and fish skin handle. Interesting Coat of Arms with a Fluer de Lys pattern and standing eagle among a chiseled floral pattern adorns the cup hilt and pommel. Steel construction throughout with a slight patterned crossguard with a grooved shield on both sides. Overall length is 44-inches. Note: Interesting sword worth researching more to find its true origin and history of Coat of Arms.

Condition: Very good. Overall gray patina with areas of pitting. Blade appears unsharpened. Handle good.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
