    Description

    Early 19th Century US Mounted Officer's Saber 35 1/2" overall with a 30 7/8' single fuller curved blade with worn double engraving featuring American Indian, Federal Eagle and stand of arms motifs. Top of blade is stamped Sold By C & ? White New York. Blade is gray with dark areas and scattered light pitting. Steel hilt has been cleaned and shows a few dark areas with pitting. Sharkskin covering on wood grip is worn with just traces remaining, wire wrap is complete. Over-painted steel scabbard is heavily pitted.
