    Description

    Early 19th Century U.S. Militia Light Artillery Saber and Scabbard. 30 ¾" curved blade with a wide fuller extending to the beginning of the false edge. The back of the sword blade is etched with the initials "FHG". The metal parts of the hilt are brass with a grooved wood leather covered grip. The blade is a uniform mottled, smooth gray with a few nicks to the cutting edge. The saber is sold with a leather scabbard which retains one brass mount but lacking the tip.
