    Composite English Short Sword Dated 1777. 18-inch spearpoint, single edge blade with crown and rearing lion motifs. Ricasso marked: 1777/PRO DEO/ET/PATRIA. Brass guard, ferrule and integral pommel. Horn scales with brass buttons. Condition: Good. Blade a steel gray patina with scattered stains and signs of having been cleaned. Nicks and fine scratches. Right grip scale missing one of three brass buttons. Possibly re-hilted.
