The blade with 60.4 cm cutting edge and particularly fine suguha hamon. Nashi-ji hada. Fine cut bohi extending from kissaki to just ahead of muni machi. Ubu nakago with 2 mekugi-ana, 7 character Mitsukuni signature and elaborate gold cutting test additionally calligraphy, the significance of the writing unknown, but possibly the tester. Condition of the blade, full polish with no flaws. Condition of tang is pristine with perfect shinto rust and no gold missing from the cutting test. This important short katana has fine single gold foil habaki and is accompanied by a honoki wood shirasaya with extensive sayagaki.
