DescriptionA Very Fine and Rare Shin Shinto Daisho with Both Blades by Enomoto Sadayoshi in Soft Metal Daisho Mounts.
The Dai with magnificent blade measuring 73.6 cm cutting edge and active kochogi hamon. Superb mokume hada. Perfectly cut hi running from kissaki through the nakaogo. Nakago with full signature and date. Excellent yasurimei. Condition of blade in excellent full polish, showing all details. Blade is flawless and very wide. The Sho with wide blade and 38.3 cm cutting edge. Notare hamon sprinkled throughout with exuberant ji-nie. Two hi. Itame hada. ubu nakago signed and dated with perfect yasurimai. Condition of blade with full polish and no kizu. Both Sadayoshi blades with matching double gilt foil habaki. Both blades with mitsumune. Elegant Daisho mounts of shibuchi comprising uchikashera with gilt mon. Plain tsubas. Wakizashi en suite with matching kozuka kogai and black roiro sayas. Also have honoki wood with shirasaya for both blades. This is one of the finest Shin Shinto Daisho to be offered at auction in memory.
