    A Remarkable Shin Shinto Katana Attributed to Hasabe Yoshishige.

    The blade with 73.7 cm cutting edge and pronounce choji midare hamon. Itame hada 2 hi, one wide the other narrow. O-Kissaki. Ubu nakago with one mekugi-ana. Unsigned but shows no evidence of signature removal. Condition of blade in full polish with all details visible. No significant kizu, one tata ware on ura half way down blade in temper and further chipped at hamachi. Concealed by habaki. This fine sword is complete with mounts, comprising shakudo nanako fuchi-kashira, gilt dragon menuki. Soft metal dragon tsuba and beautiful adventuring lacquer saya of excellent quality. Appears to be old, possibly restored. A particular beautiful long shin shinto katana. With NBTHK Tokubetsu Hocon paper.
