DescriptionA Good Shinto Katana by the Masamune of Osaka Kawachi no Kami Kunisuke.
The blade with 70 cm cutting edge and classic thick ropey Kunisuke hamon featuring Kinsuji and other refinements. Long Yakadashi. Ko mokume hada. Ubu nakago with one mekugi-ana and Kowachi Nokami Kunisuke signature, appears to be second generation. Condition of blade is in full bright polish with some minor shintetsu and no serious kizu. Nakago is pristine with beautiful color, perfect signature. Just what you want to see in a Shinto nakago. Kunisuke while only rated josaku is one of the most acknowledged of the shinto period and this is a excellent example of his work. In fine honoki wood shirasaya. With old NTHK paper. Wood needing repair in a few places, temporary tape repairs as of now.
