    A Fine Koto Tachi Attributed to Esshu Kuniyuki.

    The blade with 71 cm cutting edge and 2 equal narrow hi extending kissake through the nakago. Complex medare hamon with inazuma and strong ji-nie. Mokume hada. The nakago O Suriage with 5 makugiana to filled with lead. The tang showing great age. Condition of the blade is in full polish with some shingane in both blade body and shinogi but expected for a sword of this period. Double gold foil habaki. Juyo quality honoki wood shirasaya with extensive sayagaki. This is a potentially important Koto katana.
