DescriptionA Fine and Rare Shinto Katana Signed and Dated by Masayuki and Further Signed by Masanaga.
The blade with 71.3 cm. cutting edge and classic satsuma temper line with profuse ji-nie throughout. Ubu nakago with 8 character Masayuki signature and date. On date side further signed Masanaga. Condition of blade is in full bright polish with no kizu and only minor grain openings that do not detract. Nakago is pristine ubu one hole and precisely what one predicts to see in a fine satsuma katana. Fine double gold foil habaki. Excellent horn mounted honoki wood shirasaya with extensive sayagaki attesting to the excellence of this blade.
