DescriptionA Beautiful Daisho with Both Blades in Full Polish, Best Quaility Samegawa Sayas.
Comprising; 1) The Katana is Koto Period. 69.5 inch cutting edge with finely cut Hi (grooves) extending the nakago. Complex suguha blade hamon. Itame hada nakago showing great age with 3 makaugi-ana. Blade with mitzu mune.Gold foil wrapped habaki. Condition of blade in full polish. Some minor grain openings, but do not affect beatuty of blade.
2) Wakasashi appears to be a nagamaki naoshi with 6 character kinzogan mei. Balde with complex suguha hamon. 46.5 cm cutting edge. Moukumae hada. Blade is in full bright polish with a few extrmely minor grain openings, to be expected in a Koto swrod of this period. Daisho mounts of recent vintage with beautiful same sayas cast modern soft metal dragon tsuba. Edo period Iro Fuchi K. with yanore. Arrow menuki of recetn vintage.Blackened same and doeskin tsukamaki.
