    Description

    17th Century Sword-Rapier.

    Approximately 42-inches overall with a 36-inch straight blade. Engraved hilt. Possibly of Swedish origin according to consignor notes. Armorer's mark on blade.
    Sold together with photocopy of invoice from Arbour Antiques Ltd. (Proprietor-R.J. Wigington) to current consignor describing the sword and basic history. Dated October 12, 1983.

    Condition: Good to very good with age wear. Showing an overall mottled gray patina on blade and hilt. Fine scratches present to metal. Crude metal and some pitting inside hilt.
