    Rare Large Silver-Mounted and Gold-Inlaid Indo-Persian Jambiya. Having a 13 ½-inch slightly curved fine Damascus blade with single median ridge, the lower portion of blade profusely inlaid with gold designs incorporating standing battle axes and palm fronds. Silver-mounted grip of traditional form. Silver-mounted wooden scabbard, the serpentine throat ornately decorated with a band of acanthus and acorns. Asymmetrical scabbard tip. Tiny ornate loop mounted on reverse for attachment of waist cordage. Overall length: 20 ½-inches. Condition: Fine for this item. Blade showing grey age patina and scattered pitting at tip. Inlay appears intact. Grip and scabbard showing age wear with minor dents and scratches present.
