    Possibly Confederate Pattern 1856 Enfield Sword Bayonet Complete with Scabbard and Leather Frog.
    22 ¾-inch blade; 28-inches overall. Reverse ricasso stamped "CHAVASSE", and acid etched "PARKER / FIELD & SONS / 233 / HOLBORN / LONDON". Reverse side of pommel crudely stamped "1311". Leather scabbard with metal tip and throat. Frog stud stamped "1311". Frog stamped "A. Ross & Co.".

    Condition: Good. Blade with an overall gray patina with shallow pitting near the tip; ½-inch hole worn in the fuller about 12-inches from the tip. Scabbard a bit dry but serviceable; frog dry and missing keeper strap.
