    Pair of U.S. Model 1917 Trench Knives, One on a Model 1903 Eagle Snap Cartridge Belt. Includes: 1.) 1917 trench knife with a 9-inch triangular blade, marked "U.S. / L. F. & C. / 1917" on the underside of the guard. Walnut grips. Seven knobs on the outside of the guard. Complete with scabbard marked "Jewell" and dated 1918. Attached to a M1903-style cartridge belt with eagle-snap closures. 2.) 1917 trench knife with a 9-inch triangular blade, marked "A. C. Co. U.S.A. 1917" on the inside of the knuckle-bow. With five pairs of triangular flanges on the guard. Complete with scabbard marked "Jewell" and dated 1918.

    Condition: 1.) Very good. Overall darkening to the guard and metal parts of the scabbard; cartridge belt a bit dirty. 2.) Near excellent. The blade has a uniform dark patina from scabbard storage.
