    Pair of Nathan Starr Contract Cavalry Sabers. Includes: 1) 1818 Contract Cavalry Saber and metal scabbard. 32" curved blade marked "US / P / LS/ N. STARR" on the obverse ricasso. Blade with dark mottling and with a slight twist. Scabbard retains both brazed carry rings but has moderate denting on either side about 12" from the tip and small cracks at the seam. Good condition. 2) 1812-1813 Contract Cavalry Saber and iron scabbard, 33 ¼" curved blade marked "P / HHP / N. STARR / O" on the obverse ricasso. Blade an overall gray with scabbard wear and sharpened blade. Wooden grip cracked but complete; hilt with light pitting; iron scabbard with scattered dents, mainly near the drag and surface pitting. Good condition.
