    Pair of 19th Century Continental Swords. Comprising: 1.) Well-made European sword with a 29 ½-inch quill back blade. Gilded brass hilt with a half basket guard decorated with oak leaves and patriotic symbols. Wood grip. Lacking scabbard. 2.) Unidentified European sword with a 31 ½-inch straight blade and with fullers running almost to the tip. 36 ½-inches overall. Gilded-brass hilt. Wooden grip. No scabbard.

    Condition: 1.) Very good. Blade with a few areas of spotting but generally nice with an overall smooth gray patina. Lacking wire wrapping. 2.) Good. Blade with scattered light spotting and pitting; the remainder a smooth gray patina. Small repair to knuckle bow. Wood grip with cracks and lacking the wire wrapping.
