    Description

Tack Decorated Central Plains Pipe Tomahawk, c. 1860. Sixty-one hand carved brass tacks adorn the 23-1/2" hardwood haft. The forged steel blade measures 10" with a 1-3/4" pipe bowl and a 4" cutting edge. The haft shows evidence of 19 missing tacks, otherwise, this piece is in very good condition with only mild wear from age and use. From the collection of Richard A. Pohrt.
