    Lot of Two Japanese Tanto
    Comprising: 1) Tanto in Shirasaya having a slightly curved 12" blade with traces of a straight temper line. Brass habaki. Contained in plain wooden scabbard.

    Condition: Blade is excellent with few visible flaws. Plain wood mounts excellent.

    2) Tanto in Koshirae having a slightly curved flat 10 3/4" blade. Copper habaki with diagonal lines on surface. Brown leather- wrapped fishskin grip with button menuki exhibiting bird and leaf motif. Matching iron fuchi and kashira with vine / flower motif. Contained in green and black iridescent lacquered wooden scabbard with brass vine engraved collar
    Condition: Blade is excellent showing minor kizu. Leather grip wrap replaced. No tsuba. Scabbard missing its kogatana and one brass mount.
