    Lot of Two Japanese Tanto in Koshirae.
    Comprising: 1) Having a slightly curved 10 3/4" blade with traces of a wavy temper line. Silver and copper habaki. Iron tsuba with leaf motif. Green cord wrapped fishskin grip with copper menuki. Pair of brass seppa with serrated edges. Fuchi shows a bird and flower motif, missing kashira. Contained in black lacquer wooden scabbard.

    Condition: Blade has been sharpened, exhibits shallow edge nicks and a few kizu. Cord wrap is worn and loose. Scabbard very good with minor chips and dents. Missing its kogatana.

    2) Being an Aikuchi style tanto has a slightly curved 13 3/8" blade with traces of a straight temper line. Brass habaki cut with diagonal lines. Black painted handle mounted with copper flower and berry menuki. Contained in black painted wooden scabbard.

    Condition: Blade is very good, cleaned bright, exhibits areas of kizu and minor pitting. Handle is excellent as over-painted. Scabbard also excellent as over-painted. Missing its kogatana.
