    Description

    Japanese Katana in Koshirae.
    Having a slightly curved 27" blade with faint straight temper line. Copper habaki with diagonal lines on the surface. Blacked circular iron tsuba, embossed on both sides with cloud and wave motifs. Single copper seppa with serrated edge. Plain iron fuchi & kashira. White cord-wrapped fishskin grip with white-metal flower menuki. Contained in dark red lacquered wooden scabbard decorated with dull-gold painted flying cranes.

    Condition: Blade is bright / gray with minor dark staining, edge exhibits some small shallow chips. Tip appears to have been reformed and is now dull, tang is broken off. Grip is rewrapped. Scabbard is excellent with a few minor dents and scrapes.
