    Description

    Older Japanese Sword in Military Mounts. Measures 39" overall with a 27" blade unsigned blade. Blade is bright with no traces of a temper line, exhibits a few visible flaws, edge nicks and patches of light pitting. Dark three hole tang. Cast copper tsuba with tree and leaf motif, copper engraved habaki. Plain military style handle mounts but with old matching menuki. Brown silk handle wrap shows moderate wear. Rayskin exhibiting minor losses. Wood scabbard with military leather cover which shows service wear, grip / scabbard retaining strap broken.
