Old Japanese Tanto With Kashira and Fuchi Attributed to Takase Eiju.
10 1/2-inch unsigned "V"-shaped blade with two holes in the tang. Cloth-wrapped sharkskin handle. Decorated tsuba. Gilt-accented menukis. Kogatana remains in the lacquered wooden saya. An old tag attached to the sword reads "Koto (old sword) / V Shape Blade / Fuchi, Kashira / Made by Ei Ju" but this attribution is unverified at the time of this sale.

Condition: Good. The blade exhibits handling stains with some scattered scratches; possibly has been lightly sharpened.
