    Massive Antique Clip-Point Bowie Knife Marked: Geo. Wostenholm & Sons Having a 14 ¾-inch large, clip-point blade with 9 ¾-inch back edge, the left side marked: The Real I*XL/Cast Steel Bowie Knife/A SURE DEFENCE. Ricasso stamped with individual letters, not gang-stamped: GEO WOSTENHOLM & SONS/WASHINGTON WORKS/I*XL. German silver flared ribbon ferrule with molded bands. One-piece antique ivory grip with carved molded bands at ends. Horse head pommel. No scabbard. Condition: Good as configured. Blade polished, showing wear and scattered light pitting. Hilt a possible replacement, showing wear and patina.
