    Lot of Two Swords: 1902 Officers' Saber and Masonic Sword. Comprising: 1.) U.S. Model 1902 Officers' Saber. 29 ¾-inch slightly curved, bright blade etched on either side with floral designs and patriotic motifs. Obverse side etched with the officer's name "R. A. Ellsworth". Outer branch of the guard missing. Grooved wooden grip. Plated metal scabbard with two mounting rings. 2.) Masonic sword identified to William J. Harley. 26-inch straight blade ornately etched on either side and with Harley's name on the obverse side of the blade. "Horstmann / Philadelphia" mark on the reverse ricasso. Typical Masonic hilt with the usual symbols and knight's head pommel. Plated metal scabbard with ornate mounts and drag. Harley's name is etched on the obverse side of the scabbard.

    Condition: 1.) Good. Lacking outer branch of the guard; blade with some surface scratches; scabbard with a few shallow dents. 2.) Good. Only traces of the gilding on the hilt and mounts remain. Scabbard with some loss to the plating.
