    Lot of Two Early 19th Century American Officers' Swords. Including: 1) Dove's head pommel with bone handle and reverse "P" guard. 32" slightly curved blade marked "W. Spies" and decorated with etched floral motifs and panoplies of arms. Iron scabbard. Blade with an overall smooth gray patina and some spotting from scabbard storage; scabbard with light surface rust. Good condition. 2) Mounted officers' sword with a 30" curved blade marked "W. Spies" on the back of the blade. The blade is decorated with gilded panoplies of arms and other floral motifs set against a blued background. Brass reverse "P" guard and decorated bone grip. Brass scabbard. Vertical crack in the bone grip; brass scabbard with scattered shallow dents, otherwise very good condition.
