    Description

Lot of Two (2) Ken Steigerwalt Custom Folders.

Comprising: 1) Approximately 8 3/4-inches overall. This lockback knife is also marked KAS on ricasso and the blade measures approximately 4-inches. Nice stainless steel filework present to tang and backspacer. One piece nickel silver handle and bolsters, abalone and Mother of Pearl accents on both sides. 2) Approximately 7 3/4-inches overall. This lockback knife is also marked KAS on ricasso and the blade measures approximately 3 1/2-inches. Nice stainless steel filework present to tang and backspacer. One piece nickel silver handle and bolsters, abalone and Mother of Pearl accents on both sides.
Note: According to research, Ken has been making knives since 1981. Primarily makes pocket knives with a lockback or front lock mechanism. He won 11 Blade show awards in 7 consecutive years from 2002 to 2008 including 2 best folder awards, one best folder of the year, 3 best handle designs.
Important: We reached out to Ken Steigerwalt about this lot and this is what he had to say after seeing photos, "I made these knives in the 1980s. Blades are 440C, handle frames are Nickel Silver, inlays are white pearl and abalone."

Condition: 1) Very good, with noticeable storage and handling wear, fine scratches overall. Proper storage was not achieved with these two, so we have some fine scratches to blades and handles. Light oxidation spots present to handle areas. Toning and some tarnish throughout. Well made knives, need some expert TLC. Still a great set of KAS knives, worth investing on.
