    Lot of Three Nathan Starr Contract Sabers. Including: 1) Noncommissioned Officer's Sword, Contract of 1818. 26" blade marked "N. Starr / US / P / LS" on the reverse ricasso. Fullers on both sides running to within 6 ½" of the tip. Leather covered wooden grips. Metal scabbard with brazed hanger button. Blade with overall gray patina and scattered spotting; scabbard with surface rust. Very good. 2) Pattern 1812-1813 cavalry saber with a 31" curved blade marked "US / P / N STARR" on the obverse ricasso. Blade lacking about an inch of the tip. Guard stamped "1821". Chipping to wood grip. Blade with surface rust from scabbard storage. Iron scabbard with surface pitting but complete with both mounting rings. 3) 1818 Contract Cavalry Saber and metal scabbard. 27" curved blade (has been shortened) marked "US / P / LS/ N. STARR" on the obverse ricasso. Blade pitted; wooden grip dented, scabbard has been plated. Fair condition.
