    Description

    Lot of Three Imperial German Swords.
    Comprising: 1.) Lion's head made by E. Pack & Son, Solingen. 31-inch slightly curved, bright blade. Brass hilt with ornate floral scroll. Wire-wrapped grip. Black-painted metal scabbard. 2.) Lion's head artillery officer's sword. 33-inch slightly curved blade etched on either side foliate scroll and patriotic devices. No visible maker mark. Wire-wrapped fish skin grips. Plated scabbard with brass mounts. 3.) Prussian Cavalry Saber Model 1889. 32-inch single-edge blade etched on either side with panoplies of arms and foliate scroll and with a blued panel on the obverse "Drag. Regt. Frhr. V. Manteuffel (Rhein.) No. 5" and with a cavalry charge scene on the reverse panel. Folding guard.

    Condition: 1.) Very good. Missing throat screw and tensioners. Some modest loss of paint to scabbard. 2.) Very good. Modest scabbard storage wear and spotting to blade, brass hilt tarnished, scabbard with light to moderate surface rust. 3.) Very good. Light surface rust to blade and hilt. Hairline crack on grip and a small area of loss at the pommel. Lacks scabbard.
