    Lot of Five Military Knives and Bayonets. Comprising: 1.) German Model 1898 bayonet. 20 ½-inch bright blade maker-marked "Simpson & Co. / Suhl" on the obverse ricasso. Bayonet and scabbard numbers matching. Grooved wooden grips. Leather scabbard with metal throat and tip. 2.) British No. 4 Mark II. spike bayonet. 7 ¾-inch spike. Metal scabbard. 3.) British No. 4 MkII* spike bayonet. 8-inch spike. Black-painted metal scabbard. 4.) German fighting knife. 5 ¾-inch single-edge blade with grooved wooden grips. No visible markings. Metal scabbard with integral leather belt suspension. 5.) Japanese made aluminum handle sheath knife. 5 ½-inch single-edge blade. Claw foot pommel. Pigskin scabbard.

    Condition: 1.) Very good to excellent. 2.) Very good. 3.) Very good. 4.) About very good. Blade with a mottled patina; a bit of loss to the paint on the scabbard. 5.) Good. Broken retaining strap.
