    Limited Edition American Independence Sword Made by Wilkinson, Complete With COA and in the Original Shipping Box as Issued.
    From the COA: "The U.S. Historical Society certifies that this is one of the one thousand American Independence Swords, commissioned in commemoration of the two-hundredth anniversary of America's independence. An original design, the sword incorporates concepts of the American Revolution period. Each sword is individually handmade by the craftsmen of Wilkinson Sword. The methods are the same as were used 200 years ago." This example is number 35 of 1,000. It features a 30-inch, straight, double-edged polished steel blade with blued panels on either side of the blade containing identical gilt-accented foliated designs and a panoplies of arms. The obverse ricasso is stamped in gilt "United / States / of / America / 1976"; the reverse ricasso stamped in gilt "Wilkinson / Sword / London". The hilt features identical oval guards with spread-wing eagles. The obverse pommel displays an eagle surrounded by 13 stars each accented with a very small diamond. The reverse pommel features an eye of providence scene with the motto "ANNUIT COEPTIS / NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM". A large gold-wire sword knot is mounted to the knuckle bow. The sword is housed in the original fitted blue leather covered wooden case with gold-plated button catches. The original velvet protective covers remain, as well as the specially designed wooden display board. Sold with all paperwork including the COA, and cover letter. With the original transit cardboard box.

    Condition: Excellent. The leather case has a few shallow storage dents but no tears, rips or abrasions.
