    Description

    Large and Unique British Folding Bowie Knife by P & F. Schafer, 48 Cornhill. Having a large, 8 3/4-inch folding clip-point blade with narrow fullers and left side marked: P.& F. Schafer/48 Cornhill. Two-piece recurved crossguard of German silver with ring-pull blade release. Finely checkered horn grip scales held in place by three rivets. Unique folding blade guard that converts to a knucklebow when blade is opened. Hook bill German silver pommel. Contained in original dark brown leather scabbard with integral belt loop.
    Condition: Very good. Blade showing light wear, tip repointed and one tiny edge nick. Fine scratches present. Grip scales with minor worming. Mechanically crisp. Scabbard with light wear and scuffs.
