    U.S. Navy 1864 Dated Dahlgren Knife and Scabbard by Ames. 12-inch polished steel clip point blade with sharpened back edge. Left side of ricasso with "U.S.N./D.R./1864 Condition: Fine. Blade with only light handling wear. No signs of sharpening. One nick to edge. Brass brilliant with scattered fine dents and scratches. Grip retaining approximately 50-60% varnish with light handling wear and sliver chips near brass. Small hole to right grip panel. Scabbard good with all stitching tight and strong. Leather with scattered scuffs. Brass brilliant with light age wear and patina. One tip stud absent.
