    Description

Superb Sheffield-Style Coffin-Handle Bowie. 13-7/8" long with unmarked 8-1/8" blade, nickel-silver bolster and pommel cap, styled after the knives of the legendary American maker James Black. Some question has been raised regarding the vintage of this knife. While it does have an appearance of age and is in the coffin-handle style, Heritage cannot warranty that it is a 19th century example, a consideration which is reflected in the estimate. Condition is very good with an overall patina of age.
