Description

    San Francisco Style Bowie by Mick Langley. 5 3/4-inch spearpoint blade, the left side of ricasso marked: LANGLEY. Right side with: M.S. Fine, oval guard with roped edge. Steel ferrule. Rich stag grip panels retained by 2 stainless pins. Contained in golden snakeskin scabbard with integral belt loop. Reverse with maker's mark: LANGLEY/M.S.

    Mick Langley started custom knife making in 1977 having relocated from the Sheffield area of the U.K to Canada. He earned his Master Smith stamp in 1986. Langley forges his own Damascus and high carbon steel making fixed blade hunters, Bowies, daggers and boot knives and does his own leatherwork for the sheaths and uses only natural handle materials. He is the first Canadian Master Bladesmith in the American Bladesmith society.
