    Rare Large British Folding Bowie Knife by Mitchell & Co., Manchester. Having an 8 1/2-inch folding clip-point blade with narrow fullers. Left side of blade marked: Mitchell & Co./Manchester. Large recurved quillon German silver crossguard. Top lever push-activated blade release. Checkered black composition grip scales with three rivets. Missing combination blade guard and knucklebow. Hawkbill pommel. Contained in original black leather scabbard with belt loop replaced.
    Condition: Good. Blade showing wear and age patina with tip repointed. Combination blade guard and knucklebow flange missing, probably removed for efficiency. Scabbard showing wear, flaking of surface and replacement belt loop [put on other side]. A rare, large and desirable folding bowie.
