    Railroad Commemorative Bowie Knife.
    12-inch slightly curved etched blade, the left side with a panel of two steam locomotives, titles and dates commemorating the completion of the transcontinental railroad in 1869. The reverse is marked: AWARDED FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE/MAY GOD CONTINUE THE UNITY OF OUR COUNTRY AS THIS RAILROAD UNITES OCEANS OF THE WORLD. Ricasso also etched: M. PRICE/SAN FRANCISCO. Brass guard and ferrule. Stag grip. We do not believe these to be authentic M. Price, however marked as so.

    Condition: Fine as configured. Spurious maker mark. Blade with scattered light stains. Guard with age wear and patina.
